Modern microchips can process data fifty times cheaper than the most efficient cloud servers
Advanced AI microchips utilizing 3-nanometer architecture can execute complex data processing tasks at one-fiftieth the cost of traditional cloud server infrastructure, revolutionizing the economics of machine learning.
Modern semiconductors have achieved a level of density where processing data locally is now fifty times cheaper than utilizing high-end cloud servers. TSMC's 3-nanometer nodes pack 100 billion transistors into a single chip, a tenfold increase in density compared to the 7-nanometer standards of 2020. These chips use CoWoS packaging to stack 12 High Bandwidth Memory (HBM4) dice, enabling data transfer speeds of 16 petabytes per second for large-scale AI inference.
