Welcome to Facts A Day! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Facts A Day mobile application ("App"), operated by Yusuf Seyrek ("we," "us," "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

Facts A Day is available as a free, ad-supported application with optional Premium subscription features. By subscribing to Premium, you agree to the additional subscription terms outlined in Section 5 of these Terms.

The App is available to users of all ages. If you are under 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the App.

5. Premium Subscription

5.1 Subscription Overview

Facts A Day offers optional Premium subscriptions that provide enhanced features. Premium subscriptions are offered through:

IMPORTANT: Premium subscriptions are auto-renewable. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5.2 Premium Features

Premium subscribers receive access to:

  1. Ad-Free Experience: No advertisements are shown during normal app usage
  2. Unlimited Category Selection: Access to select and receive facts from all available categories (free tier has limited category selection)
  3. Daily Trivia Hints: Three (3) hints per day for trivia challenges
  4. Optional Rewarded Ads: After using your 3 daily hints, you may voluntarily choose to watch rewarded video advertisements to earn additional hints. This is entirely optional — Premium subscribers are never required to watch ads.

Premium features are subject to change. We may add, modify, or remove Premium features with reasonable notice. Material changes to Premium features will be communicated through the App or via update notifications.

5.3 Subscription Plans and Pricing

  2. Navigate to the Premium/Subscription section
  3. Select your preferred subscription plan (Weekly or Monthly)
  4. Confirm your purchase through:

    • Android: Google Play Store (using your Google account)
  5. Your Premium features will be activated immediately upon successful payment

5.6 How to Cancel Your Subscription

IMPORTANT: Canceling your subscription will stop future renewals but will NOT provide a refund for the current billing period. You will continue to have Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

For iOS Users (Apple App Store):

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID (your name at the top)
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find and tap Facts A Day
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription
  6. Confirm cancellation

Alternatively: Open the App Store > tap your profile icon > Subscriptions > Facts A Day > Cancel

For Android Users (Google Play Store):

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  4. Find Facts A Day
  5. Tap Cancel subscription
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions

Note: Uninstalling the App does NOT cancel your subscription. You must cancel through the steps above to stop future charges.

For Free Tier Users: The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, which serves as our mediation platform and works with advertising partners including Unity Ads and Liftoff (Vungle). We do not control the content of advertisements and are not responsible for:

Ad Blockers: Using ad blockers or attempting to circumvent ads may violate these Terms and result in degraded App functionality.

For Premium Subscribers: Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience by default. No advertisements are displayed during normal app usage while your Premium subscription is active. However, after using your 3 daily trivia hints, you may voluntarily choose to watch rewarded video advertisements to earn additional hints. This is entirely optional — you are never required to watch ads as a Premium subscriber. If your subscription expires or is cancelled, regular advertisements will resume.

Facts or advertisements may contain links to external websites or resources. We are not responsible for:

You agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey, unless your local law requires otherwise.

13. Platform-Specific Terms

13.1 Apple App Store Users

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

  1. License: The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on an iOS device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

  2. Maintenance and Support: Yusuf Seyrek (not Apple) is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App, as specified in these Terms or as required by applicable law.

  3. Warranty: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. Any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure of the App to conform to any warranty will be our sole responsibility.

  4. Product Claims: Yusuf Seyrek (not Apple) is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.

  5. Intellectual Property Claims: In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Yusuf Seyrek (not Apple) is solely responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.

  6. Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

  7. Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that: (a) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
