Most women with hormonal ovarian syndrome go undiagnosed
While this condition affects roughly 170 million people worldwide, seven out of ten cases remain hidden due to the normalization of chronic pain.
Polycystic ovary syndrome, also known as metabolic polyendocrine ovarian syndrome, is one of the most common hormonal disorders on Earth. The World Health Organization estimates it affects up to 13 percent of women of reproductive age, yet an estimated 70 percent of those living with the condition are unaware they have it. This gap exists largely because symptoms like exhaustion and chronic pain are frequently dismissed as a standard part of the female experience.
