Nvidia uses snack food to explain semiconductor architecture
To make complex artificial intelligence hardware accessible to the public, tech executives are turning to custom-branded snacks that mimic the physical structure of high-end memory chips.
During a high-profile meeting in Seoul on June 5, 2026, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang bypassed traditional slide decks to explain the future of artificial intelligence using a bag of snacks. The treats, branded as HBM chips, were designed to resemble High Bandwidth Memory, a specialized type of hardware that stacks memory layers vertically like a skyscraper to speed up data processing. By physically tearing open the bags and sharing the contents with crowds in the Hongdae district, Huang transformed an abstract technical requirement into a tangible consumer experience.
