Earth's internal heat can provide constant power regardless of weather
By fracturing hot subterranean rock to create artificial reservoirs, engineers are turning the planet's molten core into an infinite battery that never needs recharging.
Deep beneath our feet, the temperature climbs roughly 25 degrees Celsius for every kilometer you descend. While traditional power plants require rare natural hot springs, next-generation technology allows us to create them anywhere. Japan is currently investing 110 billion yen to master Enhanced Geothermal Systems, a process that involves drilling miles down to fracture hot, dry rock and pumping water through the cracks to capture the heat.
