Genghis Khan built the largest empire in history

Genghis Khan united nomadic tribes to create the Mongol Empire, the largest contiguous land empire in history, which profoundly reshaped Eurasia and global connections.

Genghis Khan, born Temüjin around 1162, united warring Mongol tribes and forged an empire that became the largest contiguous land empire ever recorded. Today, an estimated 0.5% of the world's male population are believed to be descendants of Genghis Khan.
