Sea stars can regrow lost arms

Sea stars, commonly known as starfish, possess an incredible ability to regenerate lost body parts, including their arms. If an arm is detached due to injury or a predator, these resilient creatures can regrow it completely, a process that can take months to over a year depending on the species and environment. For example, a common sea star can fully regenerate an arm in about a year under ideal conditions.
