SpaceX raised triple the capital of the previous IPO record
By securing 85.7 billion dollars during its public debut, the aerospace giant shattered the global record for capital raised in a single stock offering.
When SpaceX went public, it did more than just enter the stock market. By exercising additional share options, the company increased its total capital raised to 85.7 billion dollars. This figure is roughly three times the previous world record of 29 billion dollars, which was set by the Saudi Arabian state oil company, Aramco.
