Moving the global chip ecosystem would take over a decade
While nations race to secure semiconductor supplies, the intricate network required to build the world's most advanced processors cannot be replicated quickly.
The global semiconductor industry relies on a highly specialized manufacturing ecosystem that is currently concentrated in Taiwan. Replicating this entire infrastructure in another location, such as the United States, is estimated to take at least five to ten years, if not longer. This timeline persists despite significant financial incentives, including a commitment of 165 billion dollars toward production facilities in Arizona.
