Smartphones use on-device machine learning to blur explicit images
Modern operating systems can detect and obscure nudity in real time without sending private data to external servers for analysis.
Modern smartphone operating systems utilize on-device machine learning models to identify and blur sexually explicit content before it is viewed. Unlike traditional web filters that rely on databases of known illegal material, these systems analyze the pixels of an image locally to determine if it contains nudity. Because the processing happens entirely on the hardware, the device can screen private messages and media without ever uploading the user's personal files to a cloud server.
