Istanbul prosecutors recently demonstrated this by seeking sentences ranging from 1,102 to 4,596 years for a group of defendants. This is possible because the Turkish Penal Code allows for the mathematical aggregation of crimes, where each individual harm is added consecutively without a natural life cap.
