Recent Pentagon data reveals that approximately 70 percent of young adults aged 18 to 25 are ineligible for military service. The primary driver is a sharp increase in obesity, with nearly 40 percent of the demographic possessing a body mass index over 30. This represents a dramatic shift from 1960, when the disqualification rate for weight was only 13 percent.
