The night before Halloween is a century-old tradition of harmless pranks and neighborhood mischief
Culture
The night before Halloween has evolved into a global tradition of neighborhood high jinks, known variously as Mischief Night, Devil's Night, or Goosey Night depending on where you live.
While Halloween is for treats, the preceding evening has been reserved for tricks for over two centuries. Originally associated with May Day or Guy Fawkes Night, the tradition shifted to October 30th in the late 19th century.
