Li Keyong, a legendary Shatuo warrior known as the One-Eyed Dragon, died in 908 after spending his life defending the crumbling Tang dynasty from internal rebellions and rival warlords.

Li Keyong was a fierce military governor of Shatuo Turkic descent who became an indispensable ally to the Tang imperial court. Despite being blind in one eye, he led the elite 'Black-Clad Army' to crush the massive Huang Chao rebellion, effectively extending the dynasty's life by decades.
