The world's first carbon-negative concrete is being manufactured using captured smoke

Innovative engineers are transforming industrial pollution into building materials by capturing carbon dioxide from factory smoke and permanently locking it into concrete blocks that actually clean the atmosphere.

Traditional cement production is responsible for roughly eight percent of global carbon emissions. However, pioneering companies like CarbonBuilt and Heirloom are now reversing this trend by injecting captured carbon dioxide into concrete during the curing process. This chemical reaction turns the gas into a solid mineral that is permanently stored within the structure.
