Kazuyoshi Miura is the oldest professional football goalscorer
After starting his career in Brazil four decades ago, the world's oldest professional footballer continues to find the net in Japan's national leagues.
Kazuyoshi Miura, widely known as King Kazu, has maintained a professional football career spanning 40 years. Born in February 1967, he left Japan at age 15 to pursue football in Brazil, eventually making his professional debut for the renowned club Santos in 1986. While most of his contemporaries retired decades ago, Miura continues to compete in the Japanese league system, scoring a goal for Fukushima United at the age of 59.
