A South Korean voicemail service connects strangers through anonymous encouragement
Users call a dedicated number to record one-minute messages of support for others facing burnout, career stress, or relationship struggles.
In an era of instant text messaging, a South Korean communication project is reviving the emotional nuance of the human voice to combat social isolation. The service, known as Simple Voicemail, allows individuals to call a central number and record anonymous messages of encouragement. These recordings are limited to roughly one minute, focusing on twelve specific life categories including career anxiety, workplace stress, and burnout.
