Nvidia is consuming memory faster than factories can build it
Even doubling the production of specialized AI memory within five years is considered insufficient to keep up with the 100 percent annual growth of the industry.
The global hunger for artificial intelligence is creating a production bottleneck that even the world's largest chipmakers struggle to close. Nvidia, which controls roughly 80 percent of the AI accelerator market, is currently growing at a rate of nearly 100 percent every year. This explosive demand has outpaced the physical limits of semiconductor manufacturing, leaving suppliers in a permanent state of catch-up.
