Glowing orbs of lightning can float through solid walls
For centuries, people have reported seeing glowing spheres of electricity that can drift through windows and vanish with a bang.
Ball lightning is one of the atmosphere’s most elusive phenomena, appearing as a floating, luminous orb about the size of a grapefruit during thunderstorms. Unlike traditional lightning which lasts for a fraction of a second, these orbs can hover or bounce along the ground for over a minute. Witnesses have famously reported ball lightning passing through closed glass windows or walls without leaving a mark, only to dissipate silently or explode with the scent of sulfur.
