The mysterious disappearance of Canadian Pacific Air Lines Flight 3505 remains one of aviation's greatest enigmas, as the aircraft vanished over the Pacific Northwest without leaving a single trace of wreckage.

On July 21, 1951, a Douglas DC-4 departed Vancouver for Tokyo with 37 people on board. Mid-flight, the pilot reported heavy icing and visibility issues near Juneau, Alaska. That was the last communication ever received. Despite an intensive search by the U.S. and Canadian militaries, not a single piece of debris or any sign of the passengers was ever found.
