The legendary Albanian commander Skanderbeg secured a miraculous victory in 1467, driving back a massive Ottoman siege against all odds to protect the fortress of Krujë.
Gjergj Kastrioti, famously known as Skanderbeg, led a fierce resistance against the Ottoman Empire for over two decades. On April 23, 1467, his forces successfully broke the second siege of Krujë, defeating a numerically superior army led by the Ottoman commander Ballaban Pasha.
