Dissatisfied with the management of their old team, David Arellano and a group of young players broke away to found Colo-Colo, which grew into Chile's most successful soccer institution.

On April 19, 1925, David Arellano and a group of rebellious teammates officially founded Colo-Colo after walking out on their previous club, Magallanes. They sought to professionalize the sport and implement modern training methods that were unheard of in Chile at the time.
