Though personal computers don't outnumber humans, the broader category of connected personal devices like smartphones and tablets has surpassed the global population since 2014.
While it might seem like personal computers outnumber us, that's not quite true. Since the early 2010s, the number of active personal computers, including desktops and laptops, has grown significantly, reaching about 2.4 billion today. However, the global human population is much larger, currently around 8.1 billion.
