Under the shadow of Japanese occupation, a group of revolutionaries met in the back of a Seoul restaurant to launch a movement that would eventually reshape the entire Korean peninsula.

In 1925, during the height of Japanese colonial rule, activists Kim Yong-bom and Pak Hon-yong met secretly at the Asahiya restaurant in Keijo, now known as Seoul. They gathered to form the Communist Party of Korea, an underground organization dedicated to ending imperial occupation and restructuring society.
