The Mjolnir crater in the Barents Sea marks the site of a violent cosmic collision that occurred during the Jurassic period. When the 1.5-mile-wide asteroid struck the ocean floor, it displaced an immense volume of water, generating a tsunami reaching heights of 330 feet.
