Your body literally glows in the dark

Humans emit a faint, visible light, too dim for our eyes to see, that brightens our faces in the late afternoon due to cellular chemistry.

Believe it or not, humans emit a faint, visible light through a process called bioluminescence! This glow is about 1,000 times too weak for our eyes to see, but Japanese scientists used ultra-sensitive cameras to confirm it. They found our faces shine brightest, especially around the cheeks, forehead, and neck.
