Your eyes focus light like a natural camera

Like a sophisticated natural camera, your eyes precisely bend light through the cornea and lens, projecting a clear image onto the retina to create your vivid sense of sight.

The human eye is an incredible optical instrument, focusing light through its cornea and lens to create sharp images on the retina. The cornea, the eye's clear front surface, does most of the work, bending about 70% of incoming light. The flexible lens then fine-tunes this focus, changing shape to let us see both near and far objects clearly.
